渥太华消防局 (OFS) 称，周六，Barrhaven一所住宅发生火灾，一人死亡，数名消防员受伤。
下午5点前，多名911报警人报告 Swilken Burn 发生火灾，他们看到火焰和浓浓黑烟从住宅中喷涌而出。
消防员到达时，住宅和车库已被完全吞没，引发了第二次警报。
大约15分钟后，由于情况危急，消防员被命令撤离。
渥太华消防局称，房子里的一名老人无法撤离。消防员勇敢地试图进入房屋进行救援，由于极端高温，消防员被疏散出房屋。不幸的是，居民在火灾中丧生。
火灾于晚上9点48分得到控制。
渥太华消防局表示，还派出一名调查员来确定火灾的起因。
